ESTILL VOICE TRAINING FOR SPEECH THERAPISTS:
intensive workshop with individual practice and clinical applications

WHAT ESTILL IS NEEDED FOR:

All Estill exercises, including work on vocal qualities, can be applied both to the singing voice and to the spoken voice.

EVT can teach actors and singers to improve the effectiveness of vocal production, better manage the effort of performance, optimize muscle work and the role of breathing, vary the tones based on the character or style, lighten or darken the voice, clean it or “dirty” it, increase or eliminate the nasalization to “characterize” a character, increase the projection, audibility and volume of the voice, control all the structures that contribute to the production of vowels and consonants in order to work on a more conscious diction and easily master the accents of different languages, of different dialects (and sociolects), and much more.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

This special topic workshop can be seen as an advanced version of an EVT Intro workshop, or as a further explanation in detail of other EVT workshops, including level 1 and level 2.

On the first day, the aim is to explain the organization and operational principles of Estill Voice Training to the participants, and then to present the most significant Figures for Voice™ for the clinical speech therapy practice. The theoretical explanation of each Figures for Voice™ will be accompanied by individual practice moments in small groups, led by certified Estill Master Trainer.

During the second day of the course, proposals for the application of EVT within the clinical practice of dysphonies will be presented, alternating moments of theoretical explanation with group practice of the exercises presented.

During the third day, proposals will be presented for the application of EVT in the speech therapy of the vocal artist, alternating moments of theoretical explanation with moments of analysis of real cases in groups.

This workshop can be attended by anyone, as an alternative or in addition to any other EVT workshop (though it’s not eligible for EVT certifications).
