SUITABLE FOR: singers, actors, singing teachers, acting/spoken voice teachers, and speech therapists. Anyone who is in possession of an Estill EFP Certification (Estill Figure Proficiency) and whishes to continue with the EMT (In case you are preparing for the EFP exam with Francesco Mecorio as mentor, but the EFP – Estill Figure Proficiency certification has not yet been achieved, it might be possible to enroll in the course at the sole and unquestionable discretion of the mentor).
Foundations of Estill Voice Training® is a required component for this course. If you have already purchased Foundations, use your Online Academy email address at the time of registration and you will not be charged for Foundations again.

WHAT ESTILL IS NEEDED FOR:

All Estill exercises, including work on vocal qualities, can be applied both to the singing voice and to the spoken voice.

EVT can teach actors and singers to improve the effectiveness of vocal production, better manage the effort of performance, optimize muscle work and the role of breathing, extending the vocal range, vary the tones based on the character or style, lighten or darken the voice, clean it or “dirty” it, increase or eliminate the nasalization to “characterize” a character, increase the projection, audibility and volume of the voice, control all the structures that contribute to the production of vowels and consonants in order to work on a more conscious diction and easily master the accents of different languages, of different dialects (and sociolects), and much more.

COURSE DELIVERY: In-person (accessible also online).
     Course Location: TBC (Hong Kong Island), Hong Kong.
     Date: 2024/08/01 to 2024/12/31 (YYYY/MM/DD)
     Time: 7pm-10pm (Hong Kong time)

This course is delivered weekly in a hybrid format made of pre-recorded lessons, online live lessons and face to face lessons (approximately 80% of the lessons are delivered face to face in person in Hong Kong Island but they can be entirely accessible online, occasionally or consistently), for a minimum of 60 hours in total (more might be added if necessary).

This format is intensive to allow a quick but thorough preparation. The dates of the different phases of the test will be decided by the examiner with the participants of the course according with their level of preparation.

CLOSED NUMBER. VERY LIMITED PLACES.

WHAT THE COURSE INCLUDES: 60 hours of lessons in small groups (hybrid format: face to face, online and pre-recorded); video recording of lessons available for watching throughout the course. Continuous assesment of the practice between lessons via video messages and texts. Assistance with booking procedures and exam procedures.

The exam fee is not included in the course tuition.

CERTIFICATION: Subject to passing the exam.

DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE: The course will provide:

• Guidance and Instructions on the Certification Process
• Anatomy, Physiology, Acoustics detailed lectures.
• Theory lessons and group discussions on EVT guiding principles
• Training on Figures and Qualities
• Training on teaching EVT and voice pedagogy
• Training on applications of EVT on performance, coaching and voice therapy
• Ear training on identifying problems and offering solutions based on EVT principles and exercises.
• Continuous feedback and assistance from the trainer/examiner on practice between lessons through videomessages

This course is aimed at students who speak English and who intend to prepare for the EMT – Estill Master Trainer examination, and it is presented in hybrid form to meet the needs of everyone’s schedule.

All the notions necessary to pass the theoretical parts (written test and Figures demonstration) of the Phase 1 will be provided, including anatomy, physiology, acoustics, practical applications, problem solving, spectrogram reading.

The course offers access to a reserved platform where exclusive teaching material will be uploaded for the preparation of the written test, practice and Figures demonstration.

During the 20 meetings that last 3 hours each, the EVT Figures for Control of Voice and the Estill Voice Qualities will be explored, focusing in particular on the tasks to be performed to pass the practical EMT examination. Registration of Live meetings will be available until the end of the course.

In addition to what is already listed, weekly check of the deferred practice will always be available to monitor progress until the end of the course, and additional meetings of voice pedagogy, in-depth study and coaching are provided.

The course is held by Francesco Mecorio and the course will occasionally have expert guest tutors that will provide special lectures on specific aspects (advanced application of EVT in perfromance, training or therapy)

The EMT Phase 1 examination is reserved only for those who have attended at least TWO official Estill Level 1 and 2 courses, and are ALREADY in possession of the EFP certification. If you have the EFP certification, but have only attended one Level 1 and 2 course, the second course must be attended before the exam date.

ONLY IF you are preparing for the EFP exam with Francesco Mecorio as mentor, but the EFP – Estill Figure Proficiency certification has not yet been achieved, it might be possible to enroll in the course at the sole and unquestionable discretion of the mentor

WHAT IS THIS COURSE: A course aimed at preparing the Phase 1 of EMT examination, based on EVT training. The mastery of the voice and the muscular control regardless of the aesthetic needs are the basis of the preparation.

WHAT THIS COURSE IS NOT: A course in singing, acting, or diction. If you are interested in a course of this type, then consult other courses or subscribe to the newsletter because certainly courses will be activated if they are not yet available.

Live lessons: from the 2nd of September, every Monday from 7pm to 10pm (Hong Kong time)

(dates may be changed in case of public holidays or unforeseen unavailability of all teachers on established dates)

– Attendance of 70% of the lessons,

–  Estill Voiceprint software, available for purchase on the Estill website.

– EFP Certification

– attendance of two Level 1 and 2 courses (attendance of only one course is sufficient to start this course but not to take the exam)

STEP 2: Payment of a 2500 HK$ down payment; you can pay the deposit at the bottom of this page. The rest of the fee will be invoiced separately according with the number of intallments chosen.

OPTION 1 (down payment + 1 instalment):

27,500HK$ (2,500HK$  down payment + 25,000HK$)

OPTION 2: (down payment + 5 instalments 5,000HK$ each):

27,500HK$ (2,500HK$  down payment + 25,000HK$ in 5 instalments 5,000HK$ each)

OPTION 3: (down payment + 8 instalments 3,125 HK$ each):

27,500HK$ (2,500HK$  down payment + 25,000HK$ in 8 instalments 3,125HK$ each)

The costs include: Lessons, interpreter, recordings of lessons that can be viewed during the entire duration of the course, quick checks via chat, email, 1 on 1 online meetings, or live recordings, virtual connection platform, assistance in booking the exam (the exam has a separated cost, approximately 4,000HKD).

The costs DO NOT include: The Estill Voiceprint software to be purchased independently, the exam fee to be agreed with for the examiner.
