FMVOICE FOR WANG FUK COURT – EVT Intro and Singing Masterclass (CHARITY EVENT)

Charity Voice Event — Supporting the Tai Po Fire Victims

This charity event is dedicated to supporting the victims of the fire that occurred in Tai Po in November, with a special focus on the residents of Wang Fuk Court.

For this occasion, FMVOICE will offer:

• An Estill Voice Training® Intro (1 hour)

• A live masterclass with coaching volunteers

The event is designed as both an educational experience and a moment of collective support. All registration revenue will be fully donated to initiatives supporting the victims of the fire.

We are grateful to Sparkmen, who are kindly supporting this initiative by providing the venue free of charge, making it possible for the entire event to contribute directly to the cause.

During the event, participants will also have the opportunity to make additional voluntary donations for those who wish to offer further support.

SUITABLE FOR: Singers, actors, singing teachers, spoken-voice teachers, speech therapists.

LEVEL: Both beginner and advanced

WHAT ESTILL IS NEEDED FOR:

All Estill exercises, including work on vocal qualities, can be applied both to the singing voice and to the spoken voice.

EVT can teach actors and singers to improve the effectiveness of vocal production, better manage the effort of performance, optimize muscle work and the role of breathing, vary the tones based on the character or style, lighten or darken the voice, clean it or “dirty” it, increase or eliminate the nasalization to “characterize” a character, increase the projection, audibility and volume of the voice, control all the structures that contribute to the production of vowels and consonants in order to work on a more conscious diction and easily master the accents of different languages, of different dialects (and sociolects), and much more.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

This Introductory Workshop is designed to answer the question “What is Estill Voice Training®?” Participants will gain insight into the Estill Voice Model, the theoretical foundation of Estill Voice Training®, and begin to understand how we can Feel, See and Hear an unlimited amount of possibilities for our speaking and singing goals.

After the Intro, the event will continue with a live masterclass, during whcih Francesco Mecorio will coach volunteer participants. Attendees might choose to take part as observers or to be actively coached.

People who want to participate in coaching are requested to choose a song that they want to improve or in which they have problems to solve; they will have to bring their own backing track or email it to [email protected] (youtube link is also ok).

Seats for coaching are very limited. You might want to check availability before registration, or you might want to register and receive a refund  or donate yout fee anyways in case of unavailaibility.

VENUE: “Sparkmen” (Lai Chi Kok) – Room 2303, Orient International Tower. 1018 Tai Nan West Street (Lai Chi Kok). This super avant-garde and well equipped large venue is a 5 minute walk from Lai Chi Kok (Cheung Sha Wan) MTR station (Tsuen Wan Line) and from Cheung Sha Wan Bus Terminus (stop of several buses), and it has a private parking lot available at an additional fee.

DELIVERY: The course is delivered face to face but online attendance is possible for overseas participants or for those who prefer online participation.
