EFP – Estill Figure Proficiency Certification Pathway 2024/25

PREPARATION COURSE FOR THE EFP EXAMINATION IN ITALIAN!

Do you want to attend a course that focuses on voice control regardless of musical genre or singing or acting style?

Do you want to explore all the possibilities of your voice from a mechanical point of view and master very different sounds?

Then this course can do for you.

SUITABLE FOR: singers, actors, singing teachers, acting/spoken voice teachers, and speech therapists. Additionally, anyone who is NOT yet in possession of an Estill certification and wants to start the certification process either to stop at the EFP or to continue with the EMT can participate.

LEVEL: both beginner and advanced. Anyone NOT yet in possession of an Estill certification.

WHAT ESTILL IS NEEDED FOR:

All Estill exercises, including work on vocal qualities, can be applied both to the singing voice and to the spoken voice.

EVT can teach actors and singers to improve the effectiveness of vocal production, better manage the effort of performance, optimize muscle work and the role of breathing, extending the vocal range, vary the tones based on the character or style, lighten or darken the voice, clean it or “dirty” it, increase or eliminate the nasalization to “characterize” a character, increase the projection, audibility and volume of the voice, control all the structures that contribute to the production of vowels and consonants in order to work on a more conscious diction and easily master the accents of different languages, of different dialects (and sociolects), and much more.

WHAT THE COURSE INCLUDES: 19 hours of online lessons in small groups (the duration of the lessons will however vary based on the number of students enrolled); video recording of lessons available for watching throughout the course (about 22 weeks), weekly checks with one of the teachers via chat. Assistance with booking procedures and exam procedures.

CERTIFICATION: Subject to passing the exam.

DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE:

This course is aimed at students who speak Italian and intend to prepare for the EFP – Estill Figure Proficiency exam.

The strengths of this course consist in the flexibility of timetables, in the possibility of self-managing one’s learning through the exclusive online teaching material, and in the opportunity to work with different teachers according to one’s needs.

During the course, the EVT Figures for Control of Voice and the Estill Voice Qualities will be explored, focusing in particular on the tasks to be performed to pass the EFP certification exam.

The EFP exam is reserved only for those who have attended at least one official Estill Level 1 and 2 course. Each lesson of this course is in fact accompanied by a brief theoretical explanation of anatomy, physiology, introduction to the exercise, and application of the topics to the performance and to speech therapy. However, the work will focus on effective tools and focused feedback useful for passing the practical EFP certification exam, which can only take place after attending the level 1 and 2 (in-person) course. WHAT IS THIS COURSE: A course aimed at preparing the EFP exam based on EVT training. The mastery of the voice and the muscular control regardless of the aesthetic needs are the basis of the preparation.

WHAT THIS COURSE IS NOT: A course in singing, acting, or diction. If you are interested in a course of this type, then consult other courses or subscribe to the newsletter because certainly courses will be activated if they are not yet available.

STARTING LESSON: Live meetings will begin on November, 20th. The online teaching material will be available from the moment of registration.

REQUIREMENTS:

– Internet connection higher than 5.5 Mb /s in download,

– Attendance of 70% of the lessons,

– Estill Voiceprint software, available for purchase on the Estill website.

Further material (not essential) will be recommended during the course.

HOW TO REGISTER: Registration is finalized in 2 steps:

STEP 1: Free registration on the EVI – Estill Voice International website at this link, by clicking on “REGISTER WITH EVI: STEP 1”.

STEP 2: Registration is finally confirmed upon payment of a deposit of €350 (€200 paid by 31 October 2024 on the entire fee). The procedure can be carried out at the bottom of this page. The deposit will not be returned for any reason, unless the course is canceled by the organization.

COSTS vary depending on the payment method chosen (number of installments):

DISCOUNTS:

Early Bird if the deposit is paid by October 31st, 2024: €200 (150€ discount, it can be combined with other discounts).

Already certified: if you already have an EFP certificate, but want to review the Figures, you haven’t trained in a long time, or you simply want a check or feedback on how much you still know, you can attend this course with a 50% discount (applied on installments following the deposit, not combinable with other discounts excepts the Early Bird discount).

The costs include: Lessons, interpreter, recordings of lessons that can be viewed during the entire duration of the course, quick checks via chat, email, 1 on 1 online meetings, or live recordings, virtual connection platform, assistance in booking the exam /the exam has a separated cost, approximately 2,500HKD).

The costs DO NOT include: The Estill Voiceprint software to be purchased independently, the exam fee to be agreed with for the examiner.
